Dialogue reads more naturally, and translated lettering fits the original speech balloons more cleanly.

• 💬 Complete dialogue instead of isolated words. English lines inside the same balloon are translated together, preserving meaning and natural word order — especially in Turkish.
• ✍️ Clearer, more faithful lettering. Font sizing, Turkish line breaks and coverage of the original text have been improved while keeping translations inside their balloons.

Webtoons on mangaread.org now translate — and very long strips are no longer refused.

• 📜 mangaread.org: long-strip chapters work for the first time. They had never been translated. MangaLens refused any image more than four times taller than it is wide, and a webtoon strip is eighty times taller — so the only pictures it accepted on those pages were the site's own banners. The rule now looks at width instead: above 500 pixels a very tall image is a page, not an advert.
• ✂️ Very tall strips are read in sections instead of failing. A 720×57,808 strip — 41 megapixels — used to come back as an error. It is now read in sixteen overlapping sections and stitched back together, and it still costs one credit, the same as a single manga page. Checked on screen bubble by bubble: no sentence is cut at a seam and none is repeated.
• 👀 Preloading follows what you are actually reading. On very long pages the queue used to stop after the first few images and never catch up with you, so you kept arriving before the translation did.
• 💰 No more credits spent on the site's own adverts. On mangaread a chapter was quietly translating seven images that were not part of the story — two ad networks, a Discord invite and a theme icon. MangaLens now recognises the reader's own container, so only the artwork is translated.
• 🔧 Pages some sites refuse to hand over now go through. When a site blocks our servers, the extension fetches the image through your own browser instead. That path had never actually worked, and when it did start working it sent a format our server cannot open. Both fixed — see the updated privacy policy, which now describes this step explicitly.

The page stays smooth while it translates — and MangaLens now tells you when your copy is out of date.

• ⚡ The page no longer freezes while translating. Laying out the translated text used to lock up the whole page for seconds at a time: it would not scroll and would not answer clicks. On a real MangaDex chapter with 133 balloons the longest freeze went from 17.5 seconds to 1.6, and the total from 54 seconds to 12. The same work, spread across frames instead of piled into one.
• 👀 Translating starts where you are looking. Opening a chapter in the middle used to start from page one, so you waited through pages you had already read. Now the pages under your eyes go first. On double-page readers the queue counts spreads instead of single pages, so it no longer runs dry halfway through a chapter.
• ✍️ Lettering costs a third, and looks exactly the same. Fitting the translation inside a balloon is the heaviest thing MangaLens does on your machine, and it is now about three times cheaper. Checked line by line on 1,188 cases across Latin, Japanese, Chinese and Korean text: zero differences in the result.
• 🛡️ A translation no longer disappears. If measuring the text failed — something a few privacy extensions cause on purpose — every balloon on the page stayed blank for good, with no error shown. And on readers that rebuild the page while you scroll, a page taken out and put back lost its translation. Both are fixed.
• 📝 No more text spilling out when our font arrives late. Balloons laid out before the MangaLens fonts had finished loading kept the wrong measurements; on sites with a strict content policy that meant text overflowing almost every balloon. They are now laid out again the moment the font is there.
• 🚀 Pages already translated come back faster. When a page has been seen before, our server no longer re-processes the image it does not need: it answers about 45% quicker, and holds up better when several pages are in flight at once.
• 🔔 You get told when a newer version is out. Browsers do not always pick up an update on their own: a reader once spent a week stuck on a version that was broken on Firefox while the fix had already been in the store for days, and nothing in the product said so. The popup now shows a discreet, dismissible line when a newer version exists, with the exact steps for your browser and the address to copy.

Turning the page on paginated readers no longer means waiting for the translation.

• ⚡ The next page is ready before you get there. On readers that show one page at a time, every page used to start translating only after you turned to it. Now the pages the reader already has loaded are translated ahead of you — two ahead, and four once you keep reading. Measured on real MangaDex chapters: a median wait of 15.2 seconds became half a second, and 15 of 16 page turns found the translation already on its way.
• 🖼 Nothing appears before its page does. A page translated in advance stays exactly as the reader left it — hidden — and its bubbles are drawn the moment it comes into view.

Page arrows work again after translating, Firefox is back, and paginated readers translate every page — not just the first.

• ← Your keyboard keeps working. After pressing ✨ the reader’s arrow keys stopped turning pages on some sites, because focus stayed on our button. Now a mouse click releases it — while keyboard navigation keeps it, so nothing is lost for those who browse with Tab.
• 🦊 Firefox works again. The extension failed to start on Firefox and did nothing at all: no translation, no sign-in, no new-chapter alerts. Fixed, with a test that runs it in Firefox’s own environment so it cannot break again unnoticed.
• 📖 Every page of a chapter. On paginated readers only the page visible when you pressed ✨ was translated; the following ones were skipped for the rest of the chapter. Now they translate on their own as you turn.
• 💰 Fewer credits spent. Site decorations hidden off-screen are no longer sent for translation, and a single ✨ no longer requests the whole chapter at once.
• 🇺🇷 Proper Turkish typesetting. Long Turkish words are now hyphenated instead of being cut mid-word, uppercase respects Turkish spelling (İ and Ş), and the text uses a font that actually draws every Turkish letter.
• 🌐 Right-to-left interface. Arabic, Persian, Hebrew and Urdu were fully translated but laid out left-to-right. The whole interface now follows the reading direction.
• 🔄 A clearer clean-up. 🧹 now removes everything it put on the page, and the page is handed back exactly as it was found.

• 🎯 Only artwork gets translated. Images belonging to the site's interface — menus, buttons, settings panels — are now recognized and skipped, so credits aren't wasted on icons. Tested and measured on MangaDex.
• ⚡ No more effort on invisible pages. Hidden panels and thumbnail-size previews are skipped until you actually open them, making translation start faster and cost less.
• 🔖 Series title detection on modern readers. On app-like sites such as MANGA Plus the series name is now picked up reliably, so cover titles and mastheads are correctly left as part of the artwork.
• 📝 Credit lines stay untouched. Author and translator credits in the official VIZ / MANGA Plus style are no longer translated — names are never localized.
